We pay residents’ expenses
when they present lectures
or posters at national meetings.

This is in addition
to reimbursement for meetings
outlined in resident benefits.

Our residents are very
active politically in the
American Medical
Association, the College
of American Pathologists,
and American
Society for Clinical
Pathologists.

We have a curriculum
committee which meets
monthly to focus on continued
improvement of our residency
program. This committee
encourages input from
residents and attending pathologists.

The ASCP Resident In-Service
Examination (RISE) is offered
annually for all pathology residents.
This examination is divided into three
segments and is given in early May over
a two day period. A computer-generated
statistical report is received following the
examination. These reports analyze both individual and group performance in relation to year of training and area of content. These results provide the resident with an objective measure of their performance compared to other residents at the same level of training nationwide. Our residents have consistently performed well on this examination.

Our fellowship placement has been excellent.  Please see FELLOWSHIP PLACEMENT.
